If we find ourselves in this magical Nordic capital, it’s impossible to resist the call of a bike ride through the cold yet lively streets of Copenhagen, where modern scenes and Scandinavian-style buildings blend into an elegant cityscape. The iconic colourful houses, adorned with white-framed windows, appear one after another like an urban mosaic, mirrored in the tartan by Texapel. Along the pavements, the snap buttons by Prym Fashion Italia line up like tiny wheels, echoing the rows of bicycles parked in front of the homes. As we pedal on, we approach a building with modern terraces – its clean lines and rich tones reminiscent of Flame’s dark corduroy, like architectural shadows cut into the Danish sky. Beneath us, the ground changes texture: the luminous weave of Cavalleri & C.’s matelassé fabric recalls the geometric patterns of the square guiding us towards Krokodillegade, where traditional houses, in shades matching Delfi’s canvas, look out over cobbled lanes filled with that warm hygge (or cosy, as the English would say) atmosphere. A little further along, So.Tex.Co. International weaves the grey of the cobblestones with the deep browns and blues of the surrounding homes, forming a beautiful urban jacquard. Our ride leads us to Superkilen Park, where white lines painted on the tarmac dance like ribbons by Fashion Tex, tracing fluid paths between sport and design. The elegant, classic tweed by Loden Steiner echoes the angular shapes of a red house’s roof, while a colourful mural lights up a white facade, playfully recalling the cheerful prints by Joker’s. And as the light begins to fade, we’re drawn to the warm glow of Nyhavn harbour, where the reflections of the façades shimmer on the water, transforming into the sparkling fil coupé by Tessitura Attilio Imperiali – Serikos 1984 – a final glimpse of beauty at the close of a splendid day.
