The roar of the sky

Material Story

With the rumble of thunder in the background, the sky slowly thickens until it becomes an immense dark expanse, torn apart only by the sudden flashes of lightning that set the night storm ablaze. Above a wheat field with vivid reflections, the clouds advance, spreading a grey veil that is mirrored in the warm alpaca blends by Lane di Prato – Classico, Contemporary, Luxury, while the soft jerseys by Fantasie Tricot recall the deep tones of rain-swept meadows and storm-laden skies. Where lightning stains the sunset with electric violet hues, the wool fabrics by Gottstein absorb its intense shades; nearby, the canvases by Impresa Tessile evoke a harbour scene suspended in anticipation of the coming storm surge, where sea and sky seem to merge into the same restless omen. In the city, meanwhile, the blue of the night and the pink glow of LED lights illuminate the storm with the very same tones that run through the cottons by Besani. Then, the corduroys by Duca Visconti di Modrone stretch out like a deserted country road, its horizon suddenly carved open by the poetic flash of lightning. Elsewhere, the sky opens into lighter tones and the storm drifts away, revealing a mountainous landscape that echoes the textures and colours of the canvases by Cucchetti Tessuti. The waterproof surfaces by Delfi, on the other hand, are tinged with pink and violet, like a romantic sky still charged with electricity, while the lilac-coloured sea creates a magnetic contrast with the dark vegetation reflected in the wool fabrics by Lanificio Roma. Finally, the warm velvet by Velvetes glows with the same red hues that streak the clouds at dusk, when the sky, after the storm, finally seems to promise the return of calm.
