Manifattura Mario Tonetti & C. S.r.l. was founded in the fifties as a manufacturer and distributor of fabrics for apparel. In 1975, it established its own dyeing and printing facility, Colorama S.p.A., quickly becoming a key player in the Italian cotton textile market.

As market demands evolved, Tonetti specialized in shuttle-woven cotton fabrics, both rigid and stretch, primarily intended for trousers. Alongside ready-for-garment dyed fabrics, the company expanded its production to include prints and piece-dyed textiles, a full denim collection.
The recent introduction of the MT1958 line caters to a segment seeking high-performance fabrics, made in Italy, with Italian processing and finishing techniques, backed by certifications of origin, product quality, and sustainability. Noble fibers such as wool, cashmere, silk, and linen are introduced, enriching the collections with refined and elegant weaves.
