Bemberg™
Bemberg™ (produced by Asahi Kasei) is a unique regenerated cellulose fibre (Cupro), distinguished by its focus on quality, innovation and sustainability.
Since 1931, it has been produced using cotton linters (a by-product of cottonseed oil production), transforming a residual material into a high-quality textile resource through a closed-loop manufacturing process.
A report by Innovhub confirms that Bemberg™ filaments biodegrade in soil, while TÜV Austria has certified their biodegradability in marine environments.
Bemberg™ holds internationally recognised certifications, including RCS 100 (Recycled Claim Standard), OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 (chemical safety) and ISO 14001 (environmental management).
