Material Story

Towering walls of books guide us on a journey into the past, allowing us to breathe in the timeless allure of printed paper. The oak shelves are reflected in the vertical lines of Marini Industrie’s cashmere, while the shoulder pads by Gruppo Uniesse Spalline recreate the arches of an old ceiling with green window frames. The books on the shelves add colour to the wool threads of Magee Weaving’s tweed, forming a joyful check pattern. Argopel’s lace spirals like a staircase connecting different floors. Wooden vaults rest on columns, inspiring the beige and white wool blend by Lanificio Cipriani. The brown canvas by Lanificio Fratelli Bacci evolves into a vibrant bouclé, echoing the many shades of the book-filled wall. A beam of light illuminates more shelves, tinting the fibres by Lanificio Bottoli with the same hues as the books. The velvety damask pattern by Pontoglio 1883 evokes the baroque ornaments of a grand, museum-like drawing room, while the golden decorations blend with book covers, colouring the pure white shelving and the macro tweed by Garage Textile. Finally, the accessories by Valter are arranged like ancient capitals, supporting the bookcase and the timeless knowledge it preserves.
