Wet view

Material Story

Imagination dives into the watercolours of landscapes and figures with dissipating contours. Shapes empty into the transparency of water or become intensely contagious. The summer rain wets the countryside, blending the environment into a single dissolved scene, imprinted on a Pontex fabric where vegetation floods the houses. The tree-lined landscape is faded and undefined, like a La Linea fabric, with the background merging into the foreground in a unified depth. A man rests in the sun, warmed by its heat – his figure evaporates, and the contours of his body blend into the air on a printed fabric by New Concepts div. Stamperia di Martinengo. The milky horizon disperses the city, while beneath the eggshell sky, an accessory by Lartigianabottoni floats between the distant shore and the vanishing sea. A soft cloud of fur sleeps peacefully, while wet brushstrokes stain its coat – raindrops fall onto Sandra B accessories nestled beside it. The August light casts a translucent patina over the view, like a lens through which the surroundings appear as a sharp yet formless illusion of neutral colours, resembling a Proposte fabric. The sweltering heat reflects off the golden, scorching beach before the refreshing waves, just as warmth spreads across the laminated georgette by Cavalleri & C.. Among the hills, the plants covering them appear as veils, watercolour-like patches of shadow in a Seterie Argenti printed fabric. An old sailing boat, setting off toward distant places, melts into memory – a tale of pathos dripping in earthy and substantial colours. Material streaks in a Color-Dec Italy printed fabric distort the narrative. A Mitwill Textiles fabric blooms in the damp darkness that tries to obscure it, slowly branching out to reach the highest point of light.
