The first warm

Material Story

After long months of early darkness and chilly shivers, the first true day arrives, when the sun radiates brightly and endlessly. It warms the air, spreading vitality and a mindset of lightness and calm to enjoy outdoors. Vibrant summer fruits grace the tables, with M.I.T.I. favouring the juicy red of a ripe watermelon. The sound of laughter and children’s chatter fills city parks, as families seek the perfect shade for a relaxing outing. A tweed carpet by Quorum spreads out under the high sun. In the countryside surrounding the city, serenity takes over. Fields of tall grass and not-yet-golden wheat shimmer in a pale green hue, reminiscent of the flowing meters of fabric by Lanificio Campore. Leisure time seems to double, with moments spent under the sun, much like Sandra B buttons basking on a book, be it on a terrace or lying on a poolside lounger. Worries fade away, floating lightly as wet skin glistens on the rippling water’s surface, resembling the embroidery effect by Jato - Minervahub. In seaside towns, hotels reopen their doors to weary tourists. Everything shines brighter and comes alive again; the signature blue walls regain their radiance, as if woven in Pongees organza. In summer, evening is but a notion; the night holds only a few hours of darkness, while light dominates the day. Layers stay in the closet, replaced by breezy, thin garments that free the body. A hemp canvas by Libeco dances carefree in the beach breeze. Streets exude the joy of living, reflected in bursts of lemon yellow, orange, red, and sky blue that shout “summer,” much like the stripes by Somelos Tecidos. Afternoons are marked by delicious artisan ice creams, their creamy texture melting over the crisp biscuit, mirroring the netted weave of a fabric by Umberto Lenzi. For students free from school, it’s a time of endless meetups, without alarms or schedules. Last-minute picnics are the order of the day, with snacks shared over checkered cloths, reminiscent of a fabric by Lanificio Luigi Zanieri.
