KYOTO TEXTILE unites three prestigious textile districts of Kyoto—Nishijin-ori (Nishijin weaving), Kyo-yuzen (Kyoto-style dyeing), and Tango-chirimen (Tango crepe textile)—through the Global Promotion Consortium established in April 2021. Working in collaboration with the Kyoto Prefectural Government, this initiative aims to expand the global reach of Kyoto's traditional textile industries while preserving their centuries-old craftsmanship.

Our mission is to transform Kyoto into a world-leading hub for silk textiles by developing products that meet contemporary global market demands. We focus on creating innovative designs that blend traditional techniques with modern aesthetics, particularly targeting the high-fashion market. Through direct negotiations with international buyers and participation in prestigious events like Milano Unica, we are actively building bridges between Kyoto's textile heritage and the global fashion industry.
