Material Story

Bubbles, staircases, buildings and plays of light: spherical and sinuous shapes have always had the power to capture the eye and, in fashion, they are transformed into precious details, such as buttons and accessories capable of bringing character to every creation. A drop glides across a glass surface, breaking the light into colourful reflections and recalling the soft, gleaming forms of the stainless-steel elements by Dorlet. Not far away, Sandra B’s buttons take on the many shades of blue of a building defined by concentric geometries, creating a captivating dialogue between architecture and design. A wall covered with clocks then becomes a composition of shapes and textures, echoed in the horn, metal and Le Biolait elements by Lenzi Bottoni. Colour takes on a more playful direction with Preppy’s purple, orange and blue, which seem to transform into tiny coloured cereal pieces floating in a bowl of milk, creating an ironic yet delicate pattern. Inside a building with an almost regal atmosphere, a concentrically winding staircase draws the eye towards an elegant octagonal skylight, whose geometries are reflected in the accessories by Gritti Gems, while the decorative buttons by CK Creativ Knopf evoke a perfectly circular form, embellished with an elegantly decorated frame. Elsewhere, the lights of a city at night find their echo in the gleam by Gi.Ma.’s sparkling, colourful crystals – tiny fragments of light capable of instantly capturing the eye. The shapes by Gafforelli, meanwhile, follow the sinuous elegance of a spiral staircase with dark finishes, where the curve becomes the undisputed protagonist. Finally, a collection of small coffee cups arranged in a circle on a table recalls, through their warm, natural hues, the palette of Nemark Boton’s horn and resin buttons. It is a reminder that the circle is not merely an aesthetic choice, but also a form capable of evoking harmony, movement and lightness – and that, throughout history, it has found one of its most fascinating expressions in fashion accessories.
