Blurred landscapes and ethereal silhouettes give shape to those memories that remain hidden in some corner of the mind, their outlines becoming increasingly uncertain over the years, while their lights, colours and sensations can still take us back, if only for a moment. On the beach, a girl lets herself be caressed by the breeze, while the hues of the sky and her jumper seem to dissolve together across the fabrics by Next. Not far away, Reda’s virgin wool captures the green of the vegetation and the softly blurred tartan of a boy immersed in nature, like a fragment of a photograph preserved in the memory. Then the memory of an outfit resurfaces: a camel-coloured jacket bathed in the warm light of the day finds its echo in Besani’s cotton fabrics, where the softness of the fibres seems to give substance once again to a distant image. Elitex’s satins, meanwhile, capture the delicate hues of a sunset over the sea, preserving in their pastel palette the most intimate and melancholic side of memory. As the sky darkens and clouds envelop the horizon, the atmosphere changes, and the blue jacquard and black taffeta by Tiarè capture its deep tones and that aura of mystery belonging to images that are difficult to decipher. The orange and green by T.F.T. – Italian Tulle, meanwhile, veil another photograph: street lamps illuminate the city and seem to shed light not only on its streets, but also on the memories imprinted within them. A black-and-white photograph, with soft and indistinct contours, then finds its counterpart in the incredibly lightweight textures by Manly Interlinings, like an image on the verge of disappearing. The blue and green by Tessitura Carlo Valli echo the colours of a meadow and the sky, taking us back to a day spent outdoors, when time seemed to move at a different pace. Finally, the silhouette of another girl slowly dissolves into one last landscape, where the black of her jumper meets the orange of the sunset, evoking the craftsmanship by Italpiega – like the final details of a photograph slowly fading away. And perhaps that is precisely what makes certain memories so precious: blurred, yet impossible to forget.
