Wild Tasmania

Material Story

In the heart of the Tasman Sea, just south of Australia, Tasmania reveals itself in all its wonder: a remote island where nature reigns supreme and landscapes appear to be painted by wind and light. Among the branches of a tree, a delicate yellow-throated honeyeater stands gracefully, as though part of a precious tapestry: its colours and textures echo the creations by Galeottipiume, while the linen, cotton, and viscose by 18 Store blend into light shades that evoke pale sand and the gently rippled sea of an endless beach. In the distance, Cradle Mountain rises majestically, wrapped in lush vegetation that fades from deep green to earthier tones, tinting Pontex Since 1972 fabrics with natural, vibrant accents. The tweeds by Lanificio Campore arrange themselves like time-sculpted rocks that seem to embrace the shores of the lake. A sweet quokka appears among the foliage with its gentle smile, embodying the softness of the beige and white textures by Furpile Idea. A little further on, beige meets sky blue in the fabrics by Fitecom, creating a fresh, luminous contrast that recalls the isthmus of Bruny Island seen from Truganini Lookout: a slender strip of land suspended between sky and ocean. The waters of Dove Lake seem to rest quietly, surrounded by dense vegetation that is reflected in the trimmings by Simona B.. The creations by Stib 19 glow with the same hues as a tranquil rural landscape where the horizon is marked by a mountain and boundless fields, while a road cuts through a meadow of green and golden shades echoed in the fabrics by Folgarolas Textil. Finally, the sun sinks slowly and the blue of evening intertwines with the lilac tweed by Lanificio Moessmer, igniting the last, extraordinary sunset over the Bay of Fires: a glow that seals the magic of a wild, authentic land, still waiting to be discovered.
