Urban whirlwinds

Material Story

From parks to skyscrapers, the most streetwear-driven dance in the world comes to life in form and colour, unveiling the unmistakable energy of breakdance. A young man balanced upside down on one hand mirrors his style in the technical, hard-wearing fabrics by Taiana, while the orange and blue hues of denim blend across the cotton and viscose canvases by Tessil Opera, capturing the geometry of an acrobatic move set against contemporary architecture. In front of a dark, striated-looking wall, another dancer appears to spin through the air, evoking the harmonious contrast of Infinity – Codice – JJ Moon. Meanwhile, the soft denim and Vichy checks by Pontetorto intertwine, transforming the park ground into a canvas upon which denim-clad acrobatics are drawn. In the underground atmosphere of the tube, a dancer seems to float between the white ceiling and the grey floor, echoing the jerseys by Manifatture Italiane Scudieri – Mectex Div., while the stripes and fuchsia by Alberto Bardazzi come alive in a head-down pirouette amid vivid graffiti and pulsating walls. Outdoors, a dancer rises parallel to the asphalt, his jeans recalling the textures and colours of the fabrics by Troficolor Denim Makers, while the natural fibres by E.Miroglio EAD – Brand Miroglio Lana are tinted in pure white and turquoise, dressing another young man with an athletic build. Finally, one last handstand in the heart of the park ignites the linen and cotton by Garage Textile, as the prints by Camac Arti Grafiche reflect the colours and shapes of a final breakdance move, captured beneath a magnificent urban twilight, between light and shadow, movement and rhythm.
