Amid exotic landscapes and overwhelming colour palettes, we fly towards a land suspended on the Equator, inhabited by enchanting nature and astonishing animals: Ecuador. The first stop leads to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Cuenca, emerging among the branches like an unexpected vision, much like the yellow-ochre canvas by Texmoda that surfaces beside green and beige tweed. Not far away, in Quito’s Parque La Carolina district, the metallic jacquards by Stola align to evoke the shades and slender verticality of the striking Epiq building. High in the Andes, Lake Quilotoa gleams, set within lush vegetation, mirroring the elegant tones and refined patterns by Brunello. Meanwhile, Topp Italia trimmings intertwine like vivid plumage, shaping the intense colours of two magnificent scarlet macaws in their natural habitat. In El Cajas National Park, the path winds through luxuriant greenery, recalling the hues and forms by So.Tex.Co International, while the soft animalier and delicate matelassé by Le Tissu by Domotex convey the calm of a gentle cow grazing peacefully. In Quito, at Plaza del Arte, a vibrant mural engages in dialogue with the geometric and floral prints by Joker’s; a little further on, Mabo buttons reflect the joyful tones of the church of Vilcabamba. As the sun sets, Chimborazo volcano and the Ecuadorian skyline are wrapped in pink-tinged clouds, a soft echo of the splendid tweeds by Jules Tournier. Finally, as darkness begins to fall, Deveaux jacquards and tartans merge, giving shape to the primordial wonder of the land of the Equator, amid intensely coloured skies and flora of sublime beauty.
