The colours of birds

Material Story

Immersed in the vibrant silence of nature, during a tranquil moment of birdwatching, we let ourselves be captivated by the surprising hues of these little feathered beings. In the peach-coloured sky, a flock takes flight as though leaving behind faint trails reminiscent of the delicate orangey and brownish stripes by Tessitura Attilio Imperiali – Serikos 1984. On the lakeshore, MAD MMXX viscose seems to absorb the romantic shades of two flamingos in love. One of them then lifts into the air, as if to display the fan of colours on its wings – colours that reappear on the fabrics by SFT – Sampietro Group – while the vibrant prints by Camac Arti Grafiche evoke the regal plumage of a lilac-breasted roller. Not far away, a blue tit perches on a branch: its soft shades seem reflected in the gentle jerseys by Cucchetti Tessuti. The GM Fabrics patterns, meanwhile, light up with the greens and blues of a peacock proudly spreading its tail. A stunning blue-and-yellow macaw observes us in profile, echoing the joyful chromatic dialogue created by Texco, while the luminous silks by Pongees Specialisti in Seta arrange themselves as if to recreate the multicoloured breast of the elegant Gouldian finch. On another branch, two bee-eaters exchange a look that feels like a silent conversation, their colours blending into the patterns by Arella. Finally, the jacquards by Cervotessile capture the refined tones of a tiny oriental azure bird, perhaps busy feeding but always wrapped in that light grace that only winged creatures possess.
