About us

Shinohara Textile Co., Ltd., based in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, is located in one of Japan’s major denim-producing regions and has been manufacturing high-quality denim since its beginnings in kasuri weaving in 1907. Guided by the philosophy of “weaving quality fabrics,” the company has continued its craft for more than 110 years.
In October 2025, Shinohara Textile obtained GRS and GOTS certifications, confirming through third-party evaluation its commitment to reducing environmental impact, ensuring full traceability, and maintaining sustainable sourcing and production systems. These certifications offer strong reliability and reassurance to customers.
With a wide range of machinery—from advanced air-jet looms to rapier and shuttle looms—the company actively develops innovative materials. In addition to classic denim made from carefully selected cotton, it creates new fabrics using reclaimed fibers, TENCEL®, and recycled polyester, delivering denim with fresh value in appearance and texture.
