The Hiroshima Prefecture Textile Manufacturers Association is an organization that supports the textile industry in the Bingo region of eastern Hiroshima, particularly in Fukuyama City, known as a major denim-producing area. It was established to promote local textiles such as denim, canvas, and heavy fabrics, while enhancing quality and supporting regional companies.
Its key activities include promoting the regional brand, showcasing local products, strengthening collaboration among member companies, and expanding sales channels through exhibitions and public relations. The association also develops new products and promotional initiatives that highlight the region’s technical strengths.
At the 2023 G7 Hiroshima Summit, a denim “Summit Bag” produced by the association was selected as an official gift, bringing international recognition to the region. As a member of the national textile federation, the association also works to strengthen networks with textile regions across Japan.
