An evening at the opera

Material Story

After showing our tickets at the entrance, a dreamlike evening begins, immersed in the grandeur of a majestic theatre that welcomes the everlasting allure of opera and its timeless style. The grand hall enchants us with its regal atmosphere: the cerulean seats and gilded walls shimmer like the metallic viscose by Seterie Argenti, while the sophisticated lurex matelassé by Silkomo echoes the elegant carvings of the capitals supporting the balconies. As we search for our seats, our gaze falls upon another section of the audience, where the red velvet of the chairs, illuminated by the glow of the lights, seems to come to life in the sumptuous embroidery by Albert Guégain Broderies. Around the stage, still hidden behind the curtain, the light reflects off the balconies, bathing the jacquard by Brunello Linings \ Brunello Fabrics in warm and welcoming hues. Once seated, we are enveloped in the softness of the chairs, the same rich red as the velvet by Emil Jersey Fabric and Knitwear Division. The boxes, aglow with golden reflections, seem to mirror the sinuous textures of the white and gold fur by Italian Converter, as we lose ourselves in the room’s opulent details. Then, the curtain rises: a deep, solemn red drape, as rich as the Da.Ma. Seta canvas, finally reveals the beginning of the performance. Once the opera ends and the applause fades, the lights shine once again, gently returning us to reality, where the lanterns surrounding the boxes subtly echo the classical elegance of the buttons by Bottonificio Silga. As we rise, we glimpse a statue in the distance holding a chandelier, its coppery light casting a gentle glow reminiscent of the metallic viscose blend by Prina Tessuti. Before crossing the threshold, we pause a moment to admire the aisle stretching through the stalls, calling to mind the refined silk by Proposte – letting us savour the final moments of an unforgettable evening, spent in an extraordinary place suspended between beauty, art, and music.
