The tempest

Material Story

Let your sight merge with your other senses, as we immerse ourselves in the wild enchantment of a storm crashing over the sea, generating towering waves and scenes full of Shakespearean poetry. A giant wave, its shape reminiscent of Ducotex’s knitwear, crashes forcefully against a pier, nearly engulfing the lighthouse. All around, iridescent petrol green tones chase one another across the fur by Polistyle, evoking the ever-shifting depths of a raging ocean. A lightning bolt tears through the leaden sky, briefly illuminating the tumultuous expanse, now tinged with the sandy hues of LMA.pt’s jersey fabric. The ultra-lightweight textile by Itttai – Minervahub reflects the grey of low-hanging clouds dissolving into the white spray of waves breaking on the shore. Another wave strikes a rock, echoing the tones of Leathertex – Umberto Lenzi’s eco-leather, while the corduroy velvet by Duca Visconti di Modrone conjures the deep blue of an enigmatic breaker, ready to swallow the silence. Slowly, the sky begins to clear, and a seagull glides overhead above still-turbulent waters, tinted by Tessitura Mauri’s mélange jacquard, amidst shifting shadows and reflections. Where the sea grows abyssal, it takes on the refined teal of Ermenegildo Zegna’s silk, dense like a submerged thought. As the storm gradually calms, the waves retreat, revealing the pier once more: its wall re-emerges in the same warm, dusty hue as Sidogras’s wool blend stripe. Finally, the jacquard by Knipidee International lights up in beige and blue, like a seascape still restless but pierced by the first timid rays of sun – in a suspended moment, where we can hear the sound of the waves and feel the faint warmth of peace returning.
