Guided by a sense of nostalgia for times gone by, we go in search of vintage treasures – from clothing to home décor – as we stroll through the stalls of a flea market. Among the men’s jackets, our eye is caught by a bold varsity piece in a tartan reminiscent of Leichtfried Loden, while Rifra Nastri’s elastics echo the vibrant colours and shapes of a stand filled with vintage toys and vinyl records. On another wooden table, a pair of binoculars and a floral sugar bowl lend a precious retro touch to Zanchi Giovanni’s accessories. The soft grey jersey by Maglificio Maggia recalls the comfortable T-shirts hanging on a hanger. Some blue cups and vases displayed on a wooden stall beside a white sign with black lettering bring to mind the artisan-style labels by Rudholm Group. The trimmings by Société Choletaise de Fabrication seem to recreate a series of white dresses hung against a wall covered in writing and decorated with posters, while AR Arienzo-Lab’s crystals evoke the dazzling glamour of vintage jewellery. Other jackets draw our attention, this time for their leather exteriors and fur linings reminiscent of Thindown – Nipi Italia’s warm padding. Finally, the golden lurex tulle by Tessitura Colombo Antonio recreates the light and allure of a splendid 1940s lampshade, destined to forever capture the charm of a bygone era – one whose objects we lovingly preserve.
