A wholly family-owned company, DORLET has been innovating for 90 years while respecting the legacy of each generation. Founded in Paris in 1928 by Charles Dorlet, DORLET has since been led by Jean-Baptiste and Claude Greuzat, Jean-François Greuzat, and Thibault Greuzat.
Initially specialized in hat manufacturing and the sale of hat-making supplies, DORLET shifted in 1946 to selling lining fabrics for garments, then in 1958 to bias tape, pocket fabrics, and English belts, and finally in 1967 to sewing threads. Transferred to Meaux in 1970, DORLET gradually incorporated metal products into its catalog, which became its core business in the 1980s. The 1990s to 2000s saw the company expand into the Maghreb region and launch its Design department. The manufacturing of machines, the development of design processes, and the technical and logistical harmonization of the company’s various sectors intensified.
