Night gives the city two faces. Above the empty, sleeping corners and the flashing electricity, the dark hours pass, illuminated by artificial light. A glow escapes from a bedroom onto the silent street – amid many closed eyes, one remains open behind a fabric by Tessuti & Tessuti. A few steps away, speed carves lines onto the road, tracing the movement of nightlife. Stripes, dots, and tiny squares mark the spaces, forming a ribbon by Nastrificio Angelo Valera. The steady glow of streetlights dissolves the midnight blue of a fabric by Neon 1872, casting light on joyful conversations and deep confidences. Through the window, headlights blur their sharp forms, softening and blending together like a ruffled tulle ribbon by Topp Italia. Gradually, office buildings go dark. A geometric pattern of black, pink, and blue mirrors shines through a design by E.M.Company. The grand boulevards transform into neon streaks, shortening distances. A shocking pink, high-tech-looking fabric by Giannetti Piero Lanificio acts as a barrier against the speeding cars. In the deep night, a white light pierces through the darkness of a fabric by Manifatture Italiane Scudieri - Mectex div., drawing distant lovers closer through whispered words. Transparent by day, a suspended tunnel turns into a futuristic catwalk above the city. Silver LED arches, reminiscent of a fabric by Hurel, reflect voices and footsteps bouncing through the empty passage. Like Myzip zippers, tram tracks on the increasingly deserted streets are painted with flat beams of light as the solitary tram stops at the final signal before home. An orange button by Tarducci Massimo marks one last moment of waiting in the city's quiet stillness.
