Under water, stone turns ochre yellow, a shaded colour providing inspiration for Panama Trimmings. A bright green layer of slippery algae, like bright embroidery by Workingmenblues, covers the rocks emerging from natural pools, while the pure blue of uncontaminated water recalls a print by SET. In Asia rice paddies blend into the mossy-looking environment. Smooth steps of wet, fertile earth attract DEB in the creation of brown-coloured buttons, while Maglificio Alto Milanese sees the water imitate the sky in a mosaic of indentations, and reproduces its appearance in the fine weave of a knit fabric.
