In the enveloping silence of the night, we allow ourselves to be guided by the glow of street lamps, walking slowly through alleys and streets that seem to breathe. The cobblestones beneath our steps reflect the colours of the silks by Nimue – Compagnia della Lana, while the striped fabrics by Manifattura del Prato stand out like a building half white and half blue, quiet and solemn. The street opens up before us, lined with pale-toned buildings, soft as the cotton and silk by Lanificio Becagli. As we reach the heart of the city, the silence breaks: bars come alive with voices and laughter, and the jerseys by Lurdes Sampaio take on the hues of arched walls, telling ancient stories of urban life. In a modern district, street lamps bathe the road in an almost blue light, and iron poles recall the geometries of Fenili accessories. The georgette and crêpe de chine by Manifattura Pezzetti glow in shades of orange and blue, capturing the delicate chiaroscuro of a street where the tables of a now-closed restaurant continue to adorn the outdoor seating area. At last, we arrive in a square surrounded by arcades whose rosy columns break through the darkness, like the cottons by CM Tessuti. Then, the bright yellow by Dinamo Contemporary Fabrics cuts through the deep blue, reflecting the colours of a façade lit from the top floor of a building. On the way back, we notice the street lamps’ light brushing the leaves of the trees, creating natural frames that embellish the buildings, recalling the prints by Next. In the final stillness of the night, the white and beige by Olimpias Fabrics settle over the buildings in a silent dialogue: they seem to watch one another, waiting for the street lamps to fade and for the sun to shine once more.
