Clouds’ shapes

Material Story

Wherever we are, we lift our eyes to the sky and let ourselves be soothed by the airy softness that brings to life the enchanting shapes of the clouds. Some delightful tufts can be glimpsed between the skyscrapers, recreating the wool-blend pattern by MG2 Création / Philéa / Tissage des Chaumes, while the soft viscose by Giotex F.lli Giorgetti arranges itself like a fluffy grey mountain. A small cloud with blurred edges tints the sky – and the Pasqua Style tulle – in a romantic shade of pink. The pure embroidered net by Albert Guégain Broderies reflects the geometry of a small ice cream cone, its “cloud” flavour resembling whipped cream. Other thunderclouds line up in sinuous rows like those on the satin by Les Tissages Perrin. After the rain, the sky clears, and the jersey by Erica Industria Tessile blends the curves and colours of clouds at sunset into a charming motif across a sky that slowly darkens. The splendid panorama of a soft mountain range, made up of ethereal volumes crossed by an aeroplane, is mirrored on the delicate organza by Arella, while the warm mohair by Steiff Schulte Webmanufaktur curls gently, evoking the tender reddish curves of clouds in shadow. A gentle mass of white and orange rises into the dark night sky, with a comforting woolly texture like that of Blue on Blues Fashion Fabrics. Lastly, the delicate crinkling by Aspesi Federico evokes that rainy expanse of clouds which, although bringing bad weather, looks like a cosy, caressable bed made of small, fluffy cushions.
