Outside

Material Story

Windows frame natural and variable pictures hanging on the walls. An outdoor view breaking up a plain, monochrome interior gives the same effect as the tartan by Lanificio Corti Marcello - a ray of morning sun creating a grid of shadows. Outside the window of a small chalet, an orange-green view is painted by an irregularly woven fabric by Lineaesse Group. Rising in altitude, trees form a basin for small pools of mist, inspiring the irregular wool blend by Ducotex. Even higher up, the view from a plane window shows the sun shining above the clouds. Looking down, cities are just patches of colour made up of small, different-coloured dots, like a jeans print by Next. In your room, you lose yourself among pink clouds, questioning the wonder of the light phenomenon that Stelmar Eco - Friendly Packaging references in its labels, while Berthéas & Cie keeps admiring the sky, which shows itself in different colours than the customary blue palette. La Linea looks down on a tree-covered city from the top of a hill. Garden vegetation fills a home’s windowsills with pots of plants and white flowers inspiring the elegant botanical embroidery of Albert Guegain Broderies. A single stripe breaks the monotony of a fabric by Ermenegildo Zegna, like rays of light streaming through a narrow window. The understated stripes by CNC Tessuti seem to encircle a small glass pane that makes space for itself among the thick layers of a metal wall.
