There are things in the world that defy gravity, moving lightly through the atmosphere. It would be wonderful to be like them, living weightlessly, carried by the wind. Like the beige flowers of Cortaderia, which feel as delicate as feathers to the touch, as soft as the linen by Cucchetti Tessuti; or the foam of a late-day bath, white and ethereal like Solstiss lace; or those snowflakes that settle between intertwined branches, reminiscent of a texture by Ricamificio Paolo Italy. And what is lighter than a morning mist blanketing the hills, pink and ethereal like a tulle by Pongees, or a bird about to take flight, its wings spread and velvety like the black-and-white weave by RCT Ricami? A slender stem peeks out through freshly fallen snow, soft and pure like the down fabric by Thindown – Nipi Italia. The touch of Beste cashmere feels like an intangible wisp of smoke, while the lining by Manifattura Foderami Cimmino or the feathery flowers of a Miscanthus field offer a subtle caress. It would be lovely, while walking, to disappear into the mist droplets covering public gardens, grey and fine like the GRS threads by Madeira Embroidery Threads, or in a field of fresh snow, foamy and untouched like the fabric by Biojersey - Ellea. But we don't belong to the realm of weightless things, and perhaps... it's better that way.
