In the hair

Material Story

It can be our distinguishing feature, marking periods in life as we grow, allowing us to change style whenever we like. Our hair is the cherry on the cake. Trimmings by Topp Italia flutter like wisps in the wind. Sovratex’s jacquard fabric is the golden blond colour of a child’s fine hair, while Mokuba by Ribbon Line’s ribbons are the silver of a girl experimenting with bleaching and tints. A full head of enviable curls inspires Ricamificio Paolo Italy in its creation of a pale blond fabric. During the day the hair reflects our mood, messily taken up when we need to concentrate, resembling a fabric by Géneros de Punto Fabrés, or pulled back into a plait resembling a cord by Passamaneria Frassinetti. It is the finishing touch on top of our spine and head, creating a gradient of chestnut colours like the buttons by Gruppo Uniesse Bottoni e Spalline. Brown, beige and red shades dominate in this selection of fabrics and trimmings. Lanificio Moessmer draws inspiration from a dry, platinum-coloured wheat field, the spongy-looking herringbone by Opera Piemontese - Marzotto Group recalls honey blond dreadlocks, while the well-crafted weave by Empress recalls the softly taken up hairstyle of a sophisticated woman.
